AI Sovereignty

Research

“The very structure of society depends on equitable access to advanced AI systems—without it, we risk perpetuating systemic inequalities in the digital age. AI sovereignty is the key to a future where emerging technologies serve all humanity as a whole.”

— Christopher Sanchez

I developed my research interest in AI Sovereignty (AIS) through my work with investors, medium/large enterprises, academia, and G20 governments on advanced artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, policy, and strategy.

My work in AIS overlaps with my research interest in geoeconomic strategy, AI ethics, economic development, and geopolitics. The thoughtful deployment of AIS at a national level will determine the national competitiveness of nations, the ability of citizens of any nation to enjoy the rights guaranteed to them under their constitution, national security, societal stability, and the capacity of the nation to fund social welfare mandates over the long term.
